Exchanges with wifey

One night last week on my way home from work, my wife called me:

W: Where are you?
Me: In my car.
W: I get that, but where are you in your car?
Me: The driver's seat.

Did your wife then ask where you were going to sleep?

I totally understand her question! Darrin, your lovely lady must have a ton of patience to be married to you :)

Ack! This illustrates what I find exasperating in conversation with my marido. Why? It makes me ask another question. I'm usually in a hurry and am looking for quick answers, and, I know he knows what I mean, but I get responses which force me into asking yet another question (sometimes two). I hope your wife is a patient woman!

lol! In the driver seat.

(Too bad that's one of the very few times that you can actually get away with saying that...) ;)

I'm assuming she smacked you when you got home.

fuzz: No, and if I had asked that, I wouldn't have been terribly surprised if the answer had been, "the couch."

Barbara: I understood her quesion too. I was just being difficult. I did eventually tell her where I was, so all was good in the end.

keshi: She generally guesses my smart ass answers before I give them. She does know me too well.

Phoenix: Not yet, but if I keep up performances like that, I can forsee that changing in the immediate future.

jeff: Be careful, some lasses don't take as kindly to it as others do. You've been with your lass long enough that she should get a kick out of it.

lucia: we men are just teasing the women we love. We wouldn't tease if we didn't love. :-)

dantallion: I may be in the driver's seat, but she's got the keys... if you know what I mean.

susan: No, but I believe I did get a roll of the eyes out of her for that one.
