I've been tagged as quirky

Okay, Lauren over on Can You Be a Part of My Life tagged me as being Quirky (and yes she has me pegged rather accurately in that regard):

So here are the rules:

Link to the person that tagged you.
Post the rules on your blog.
Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
  1. I have a tremendous wealth of completely useless trivial knowledge about the 1980s. People refuse to play any 80s Trivia games with me as a result.
  2. My poison of choice is gin. I just randomly had a craving for a gin & tonic one day so I stopped and picked up Tanqueray on the way home from work... I've been a gin drinker ever since. I later found out that my father who has not had a drink in over 25 years used to love Gin & Tonics-- Apparently it's hereditary.
  3. I'm the youngest of six kids by between 12 and 18 years. My musical tastes reflect the huge age disparity between my siblings and I.
  4. I believe comedy is like hockey. The more jokes you shoot at the net the better shot you have at actually scoring a funny one from time to time. My shot percentage leaves a bit to be desired.
  5. Everyone marches to the beat of a different drummer. My drummer is tone deaf and has no sense of rhythm. Draw your own conclusions.
  6. My cell phone wallpaper image is the Canadian flag and my ringtone is O, Canada, I think the Canadian accent is really cool, and my favorite sport is hockey.... I get teased about the fact that while I love being an American I'm far more expressive of my love of our neighbours to the North than I am of my fellow countrymen.
I'm only going to tag 4 people because 1 of the people I would have tagged is the person who tagged me, and one of the other people I would have tagged, was already tagged by Lauren.
  1. Dantallion
  2. Brice
  3. Susan as Herself
  4. Sometimes Sisyphus
So have it ladies & gents! Share away.

Susan: I'll look forward to reading the meme on your blog. :-)

Lauren: I'll give you a random useless 80s factoid for now (and maybe more later if you like): Richard Page, the lead singer of Mr. Mister (remember the songs Broken Wings and Kyrie? That was him) was offered the job of replacing Bobby Kimball in Toto after he was fired for drug abuse in 1984. About a year later when Peter Cetera left Chicago... Chicago ALSO approached Page to replace Peter Cetera. Needless to say Page turned down both bands citing a desire to make his own music and not being forced to sing covers of songs made famous by other singers.

That's your random 80s factoid for the day.

Hockey rules NFL drools.

Did you know that trivial pursuit was invented by two hosers from Canada eh? They also had a host of, well it turned out USEFUL trivia in their repetoire and over a few brews they figured out the game........

of course, they knew what they were doing and americanized it for marketing to a larger crowd! :)
