Bearded Seals

So today in my RSS feed I stumbled upon the following headline:
Bearded Seals have regional accents
It left me scratching my head... does this mean that clean-shaven seals have generic midwestern non-accent accents? What kind of facial hair do seals from my hometown have? And what do THEY sound like?:

Seal 1: Jeet jet?
Seal 2: Not jet, ju?

They probably also wear trucker hats, and flannel shirts which are left open to reveal their t-shirts usually with some crass or vulgar ode to the lowest common denominator of American "culture" and their blood type is Genesee Beer.

And if I were in Canada, the seals would be talking "aboot" last night's Maple Leafs game at their local Tim Horton's.

I see a sitcom in the making! It's not really that preposterous, is it? I mean I read that the Cavemen from the Geico commercials have been green-lighted for a pilot. If they can get a pilot, certainly bearded seals with regional accents are sitcom-worthy? Aren't they? And ABC is going to need SOMETHING to replace Lost with in a couple of years when that show finally wraps up.

LOL - hilarious, that.

(For whatever reason I imagine "goateed seals" sounding like Pepe Le Pew)

I picture goateed seals wearing tie-dyed t-shirts, reaking of patchouli and following Phil Lesh around the country in VW Microbuses... but that's just me.

Ok, I like your image MUCH better...LOL

(How often do you get to hear someone use a good Phil Lesh reference? LOL)

I'm still trying to figure out that whole caveman thing. The commercials annoy me.
