A shout out to my homies in Toronto, eh!

My favorite author is Christopher Moore. Moore has written several humorous books that never fail to make me laugh. His quirkiness, his sense of humor, it all shines through in his writing, making him an absolute delight to read.

In support of his most recent book: You Suck: A Love Story, Moore will be appearing in Toronto on Valentine's Day:

So, my Torontan (is that the correct term?) friends, if you are available or are so inclined, I highly recommend attending this event. Having gone to 2 of Moore's previous book signings I've got to say this guy is absolutely hilarious. If he hadn't become a writer, he would have made an excellent stand-up comic.

You Suck: A Love Story, is the sequel to Moore's Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story. So if you're a Christopher Moore virgin, you'll probably want to read Bloodsucking Fiends first.

If it wasn't on Valentine's Day, I'd definately see him.

And it's Torontonian.
Thanks for the info, though!

Reading it now :) I liked the new Adam Davies, too...I remember you recommended that.

Dickeybird: Oh boogersnaps, I was hoping you'd make it part of your Valentine' Day festivities. Oh well, better luck next time.

snooze: Coolness, you won't be disappointed!

bearette: While I enjoyed You Suck, I didn't think it matched up to some of Moore's other books. Although he wrote the Abby Normal character brilliantly, leaving me wondering if he was a teenage girl in a previous life.

As for Davies, Goodbye Lemon was much better than his first book imho. I felt some sympathy towards the main character, whereas in The Frog King the main character had no real redeeming qualities whatsoever.
