Political Compass

After yesterday's post of my favorite Goldwaterisms and at Tornwordo's request I've retaken (Yes, I had taken it before-- about a year ago) the Political Compass test.

My results, for any who may be curious, can be found here.

The results had changed slightly from the last time. Last time I was right on the authoritarian/libertarian line slightly in the conservative area. This time I'm slightly deeper in the conservative area and more libertarian than I was before.

I remember having friends in college and high school who were of different political persuasions than myself. We'd have intriguing discussions not on the issues, but on the political process itself. Political strategies, reasons behind suspect "alliances" between members of opposing parties, and etc. In hindsight I did/do find it interesting that despite our views on the issues being different, our views on the process were often quite similar.

Now I'm left with that nagging curiousity... where do YOU fall on the political compass, my loyal and favorite readers?

Edit: At the urging of teh l4m3 to be more pro-active in the fight to take the Republican party BACK... And take it away from the far right religious zealots I've signed up with My Party Too a PAC created by former NJ governor and EPA chief, Christie Whitman, to restore the Republican party to its roots (principles of liberty, individual responsibility, and personal freedom). Incidentally Whitman wrote a book It's My Party Too which decried the same principles her PAC has been founded upon.

This is me:

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -0.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.31
On the chart - the red dot is smack dab in the middle! That was unexpected.

I emailed you the full link to mine. I admit - I did not really understand some of the questions clearly.

Huh. That puts me in the lower left quadrant, right next door to Ghandi.

I'm right by good old Ghandi. "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." I've taken this test a few times but it's been quite awhile so I don't remember my last results.
