Happy 4th to you! So when do you think we'll invade Canada?

Awww that's so nice. I should send you some maple syrup. And a beaver. And maybe a moose in an igloo.

bar: NP! Hope you had an enjoyable holiday weekend!

tornwordo: I didn't forget the sunscreen although I wish I'd used SPF 30 instead of SPF 15 as my pasty white skin is significantly more red than usual.

snooze: Now that's what I call celebrating the holidays!

Phoenix: We tried invading Canada during the War of 1812 when the Brits still held control and were summarily spanked at the Battle of Chateauguay when 400 Canucks-to-be defended their border from 17,000 Americans! If not for those 400 Canadians, Montreal would probably be a US city today! On the flipside Oliver Hazard Perry prevented the Brits from expanding the border south into Northern Ohio in a fierce naval battle near South Bass Island, OH-- otherwise Cleveland and Toledo might today be Canadian cities (although today, even if we were to offer Toledo to Canada I don't think they'd want it).

Dickeybird: Indeed! I still believe that the way in which our two countries seperated from the mother country has a lot to do with the overall temerpment of the citizens of our respective nations today.

Normlr: I'd settle for a sixer of Rickards.
