Snarfed from Snooze

Snarfed from her Canuck Coolness, Snooze:

Step 1: Put your iPod or iTunes on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING.

EDIT:
Thanks to Bruce & Phoenix for their correct guesses. That being said there are a handful of tracks on this list that are quite obscure which most of you have probably never heard of, let alone heard-- I consider those to be "gimmes" so I've crossed them off and identitified them. There are a few others on there that are still a little obscure but they are by artists some/most of you should have at least heard of, if not actually heard. I'm leaving those open for more guesses. There's some King Crimson, Flaming Lips, Roxette, Harry Chapin, and Eddie Money still up there... so have at it lads & lasses!

Phoenix: Good job, you guessed right on all of the ones you were able to guess.

As for The Smile Has Left Your Eyes by Asia-- I couldn't agree more, it's an awesome song.

You just gave me a wetspot!
I misread #3 as "Phil Collins and Marilyn Manson."

Perplexio said...

dickeybird: Well Johnny Cash covered Nick Cave and Nine Inch Nails songs before he died and Robin Williams has played a couple f*cked up psychos (Insomnia and One Hour Photo)-- so at this point a Phil Collins/Marilyn Manson duet is within some realm of possibility if you ask me...
